A two-day workshop exploring the mechanisms and effects of trauma and the use of effective EFT

The EFT Training Academy and The Energy Therapy Centre are delighted to announce an exciting new joint venture.

We are combining our extensive experience, skills and knowledge to offer a series of one and two-day workshops aimed at enhancing the skills of EFT practitioners. These workshops will focus on specific topics, aiming to provide a good understanding of each subject, and to provide effective tools and solutions.

Aims of the workshop

The aim of this workshop is to give attendees a good understanding of

* The many different potential causes of trauma and PTSD
* How trauma and PTSD manifests in the organism neurologically, physically and emotionally
* The responses of the nervous system & the vagal system and their impact
* Attachment and developmental trauma
* The challenges facing both client and therapist

We will look at

* How to recognise trauma and PTSD in your clients
* How to create a safe space
* What is dissociation and how you can work with it
* Helping the client to be present
* Understanding the clients own coping mechanisms
* Psycho-education
* Helping the client to self -regulate
* Reading the body language of trauma and how to work with the body
* The role of memory.

In particular we will look at the place of EFT in trauma and PTSD, when and how it is appropriate to use EFT, and when it may wise to hold back. A comprehensive manual will be provided, techniques will be demonstrated and interaction will be encouraged. Time will be allocated for practical exercises and Video demonstrations.

Richard Mark FNCP MNCH AAMET Dip. PSYCH.

Richard Mark is Director of EFTTA, is an Advanced Practitioner of EFT, and approved AAMET mentor. Richard is a hypnotherapist, counsellor and psychotherapist with 16 years experience in both private practice and the voluntary sector. This includes addictions and mental health and a specialist interest in PTSD and trauma. Richard was also Director of the Psychotherapy & Hypnosis Training Academy for twelve years and has been EFTTA Director for eight years.
